This Privacy Policy describes how DevNest Apps (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the GoalPulse AI mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile photo. If you use the App anonymously, an anonymous account identifier is created so we can save your preferences.
Usage and device information
We collect app usage events (such as screens viewed and features used), along with device and diagnostic information, to improve performance and stability.
Preferences
We store your in-app preferences, such as your favorite team and notification settings.
2. Firebase Authentication
We use Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) to securely manage user accounts, including anonymous accounts and Google Sign-In. Authentication data is handled by Firebase in accordance with Google’s privacy practices.
3. Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In allows you to authenticate using your Google account. We only access the basic profile information you authorize (name, email, profile photo). We never receive your Google password.
4. Firebase Cloud Messaging (Notifications)
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications such as match reminders, results, predictions, and news. To do this we store a device notification token associated with your account. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings or in-app notification preferences.
5. Cloud Firestore
We use Cloud Firestore to store your profile, preferences, favorite team, and notification token. Data is transmitted securely and access is restricted by security rules so that only you can read or write your own account data.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain identifiers and information to serve and measure ads. The App requests non-personalized ads where applicable. For more information, see how Google uses information from partner apps.
7. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the App is used and to detect and fix crashes. This includes anonymous or pseudonymous usage events and crash diagnostics. This information helps us improve the App and is not used to personally identify you.
8. User Accounts
Your account allows you to sync preferences and your favorite team across sessions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Google account used to access the App.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your Firebase Authentication account, profile data, preferences, and notification token are removed. No personal account data is retained after deletion. See our Account Deletion page for details.
10. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access-restricted security rules, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
